My name is Lexi Orth, and I am the creator of Talk About Tucson! I originally started this site to allow students at the UA as well as the Tucson community as a whole, to get better involved in this city. There are so many things going on here, that many of us don't even know about, and I think it's important to be aware of the opportunities around us.
While there are so many incredible things to talk about in regards to Tucson, my main focus was on highlighting different local non-profits as well as small businesses. I grew up in Oro Valley where there wasn't much of any business, so when I came down to the University of Arizona, I couldn't believe how many great places there were. Although I was a tucson local and still had so much to learn, I felt as though there was a big market of people who were just as unaware of these things, as I was. So I made it my mission to help support Tucson locally, by bringing awareness t a variety of different things happening in this town!
